We finally decided to remodel our home of 20 years. We had our plans and we were ready to go. We had some referrals from our architect, and talked to a few contractors, but kept on looking. A friend of mine referred me to Alfonso. I met him at our place a couple of times and we received bids. We ended up choosing Alfonso because he was not overselling his service. I just had a good feeling he would do a great job for us and my friend said the same thing. I was blown away at how fast his team executed the project. As a former contractor myself, I have a keen eye on detail and workmanship. I was really happy with the work all of his team and contractors performed. I was on site daily and got to know all of them. I'd hire any of them again to work on any project. One evening at a fundraiser for my daughter's Lacrosse high school team, I was talking to her coach about contractors. We both argued we had the best one! Turns out we both used Alfonso so we were both right. Regarding payments and charges, I was never surprised by the invoice or the amount. It was all clearly laid out. We did make some changes as you do during the process and the change orders were fairly priced. We've been in the house for 8 months and really appreciate the work Alfonso's team did. This is a big deal and the contractor you choose is really important. You will be working with that person for months. My only suggestion, start the work with your designer 6 months ahead of the build. Order your long lead time items (tile, fixtures, windows, etc) ahead of time so they are ready. If you do this, your project will be ahead of schedule with Alfonso.

Alfonso and his crew were a bit pricier but not OVERLY so. They all communicate very well and do a fantastic job. Even going so far as to build missing kitchen cabinet pieces for you when your cabinet provider takes your money and no longer calls you back. They were very quick and fast with their work. And very honest and trustworthy people. The subcontractors that they work with have been with him for years. The work we did was demolish and redo enitire kitchen and bathroom and added 600square feet to the house as well after demolishing the sun room to add a new family room. They service most of the bay area. Would highly recommend them.

We have hired ALEF Construction for several jobs over the years. They have remodeled two bathrooms and the kitchen. They have replaced most of our windows and two sliding glass doors. They fixed damage from water incursion we inherited from the previous owner that was not visible until a large picture window replacement project had been started. We have been very happy with the outcome of each of these projects. I have always been impressed by Alfonso's honesty and his eye for detail.
